Multilingual Poetry and Picture Poetry: Expanding the In-Between

We invite you to attend the upcoming presentation, "Multilingual Poetry and PicturePoetry: Expanding the In-Between" featuring Daniel Graziadei (Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg). This event will explore Graziadei's poetry and PicturePoems, which critically engage with the liminal space of linguistic negotiation, establishing a "third space" where overlapping letters, meanings, and sounds interact. The session will commence with a brief theoretical introduction, proceed through a short creative exercise and reflection and include a commented reading of multilingual poetry. A significant portion of the event will be dedicated to discussing the depiction of transmedial multilingualism in works that combine photography and poetic text, culminating in an open scholarly discussion. 
Dr. Graziadei, whose research focuses on islands, (intercultural) misunderstandings, and contemporary technology in literature, translates from Italian and Spanish and works as a transmedia artist across German, English, Italian, Spanish and other languages.
