How to become a member
There are different ways of becoming an ICLA member:
1. Through a Member National or Regional Association
Members of Associations that are officially members of the ICLA and in good standing also become members of the ICLA.
A list of Member Associations can be found on the Member and Supporting Associations page. (Membership of a "Supporting Association" does not confer ICLA membership.)
Note that not all listed associations are always in good standing. If you are not sure of the status of your membership via one of these associations, please contact your national/regional association for further details. You can also submit a request through our membership check form and we can check for you – please allow up to 4 weeks.
Associations of Comparative Literature or related disciplines which would like to become Members of the ICLA should contact the Chair(s) of the Committee on Affiliated and Associated Organizations and the ICLA President.
2. Individual Membership
Individuals can become members at the annual rate of $10 / €10 (membership is free for students). The subscription fee can be paid by credit card or by bank transfer to the relevant regional Treasurer.
